“He found himself wanting to write poetry about how her blue eyes were like starlight and her hair like night, because “night” and “starlight” rhymed, but he had a feeling the poem wouldn’t turn out that well…”

Some time ago the lovely Cassandra Jean did a series of postcards leading up to the release of Clockwork Princess. This was one of them. Whose hand Tessa was holding was deliberately not shown, but under the cut is the finished card … and a little extra artwork too, just for fun. Warnings for shipping and spoiling.
People often ask about cut scenes from books, and they can be hard to come by, because a lot of the time we don’t have scenes that we’ve cut out, the way one might in a movie, but rather ones we’ve rewritten.
I decided to post a rewritten scene from CP2 under the spoiler tag. It is the scene that begins around page 468, with Will in Henry’s room. If you put the scenes side by side you can see the differences — the timing of when Charlotte learns a certain piece of information, where Will is when a certain thing happens, the players who are present, and Jem and Will’s attitude toward each other.
Under a cut for spoilerz.
“I heard that there was be a love triangle in TLH, but isn’t the outcome already spoilered in the family tree? — ariksay”
You might think so, but — no.
In fact it was really fun for me to come up with a family tree that was massively misleading. Remember, family trees are found objects — they contain only as much information as whoever drew them had. Secret marriages, arranged marriages, people being secretly dead, people being secretly other people: the family tree doesn’t reflect any of that. In fact, some of the most important characters (One of whom is a certain JH’s parabatai) don’t appear on the family tree at all.
In fact, when the Bane Chronicle is released that takes place during/around TLH, I think everyone is going to be like: “HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? IT DOES NOT MATCH UP.” But it does, in the end…
Also, Sarah would like you to know that TLH stands for The Largest Hamburger.
More TLH stuff, spoilery, under the cut.

This song pretty accurately sums up how I feel about this book thusfar. And the other two books in the series as well.

“Jem brought his hand up and cupped her cheek. She could see the hope in his expression, slowly dawning.”
